Valor is the willingness to step forward when others need help. It is not the absence of fear, but the commitment to serve despite the challenges before us. Our members answer the call, protect life and property, and work together to make a difference when our neighbors need us most.
COURAGE
Courage is doing what is right when it is difficult. It means entering uncertain situations, making sound decisions under pressure, and standing ready to serve regardless of the circumstances. Courage also means having the strength to train, prepare, learn, and continuously improve so that we are ready when the call comes.
